In 2010, Ted switched to filmmaking after 20 years as a newspaper journalist. Since then he has produced six documentaries and is now finishing up his seventh, about Holocaust survivor and forgiveness advocate Eva Mozes Kor.


Ted's honors include:


-- 14 regional Emmys, including Best Documentary for his past three films.

-- First place in the national Associated Press Sports Editors contest.

-- The Fourth Estate Award from the national American Legion.

-- The Dick Schaap Award of Excellence from the Center for the Study of Sports in Society at Northeastern University.

-- The Servant Leadership Legacy Award from the Indianapolis Urban League.

You will be introduced to 26 amazing young people, who have been nominated by their respective Marion County high schools for achieving academic success while coping with personal adversity. Four honorees will receive scholarships from the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis totaling $46,250. We will share inspirational stories about these phenomenal students. The event will conclude with moving interviews of the four scholarship recipients conducted by emcee Anne Ryder.
