April 23: High School Sports Awards
The Marion County High School Female Athlete award is given to an Indianapolis-area player who displays leaderships, discipline and caring for others in her school, team and community.
Kiwanis has partnered with the IndyStar, the Indianapolis Colts, and Pacers Sports & Entertainment to sponsor the High School Sports Awards since 2017. Now athletes across the county all attend this red carpet event to be recognized for their achievements. More than 200 Hoosier athletes attend every year.
Each Marion County athletic director nominates one student, and a committee of Kiwanians selects the finalists. The scholarship recipient and two finalists attend the event. The 2024 High School Sports Awards is at Clowes Hall on April 23.
We have invested $24,500 in scholarships for 7 deserving young women. This program is possible through a grant from the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis.
